The pressure sensor may be restricted or giving a false value. The sensor for the DPF is the one on the bracket over by the coolant bottle. The one for the EGR is the one back atop the valve cover.
You take it into some Mazda dealers and they start replacing DPF sensors, which calms it down for a while, hides the problem mainly. If your regens are down to about the 30 mile frequency it looks like you need new injectors.
