hardhitwarrior. let it idle for 10 minutes no hard blipping. turn off check leakes. then warm up, ride low until its fully warmed up. LOAD the bike. that means high gear starting at low speed and let it roll BEFORE power band. then slow down shift to 3-4-5 at low RPM and roll. this will push the rings outwards.
Stock on mine was 4.0 slides. The 125 was worst offender,,,it'd sputter hiccup blubber before cleaning out towards topend.. Now both are sharp and clean and responsive rolling on exiting tight corners. I run the recommended ratios and race gas in both. There's other threads on jetting the KTM brothers on here,,both KTM/Husky use same carb.

One of my riding friends has 500 hours on his xcw crank. I've seen lots of bikes approaching 200/that are original. I'd just keep an eye on my oil filter and an ear on the engine.

It has had a constant diet of T4 (15w40) and T6 (5w40). Never any signs of any metal during oil change from either side. Always changed the oil at 5 hours or less. I had a 2008 crf450r, never got more then 50 hours on top ends or 125 hours on crank before they were past limit. Always rotella t 15-40 in both sides.
Ktm 85 oil leak need help. This is a 2020 ktm 85 and I’ve been trying to figure out this oil leak and I’m not having any luck. So far I’ve replaced the center case gasket , clutch case and cover gaskets, counter shaft seal and slave cylinder, and reed cage gasket and I still get oil here just below the reed block on the engine case.
